As moms, we often set lofty expectations for ourselves, striving to have everything perfectly in place. The kids need to be on time for their events, the house must be spotless, and every task on our endless to-do list has to be completed. These goals are important, no doubt, but as a mom of three, I’ve learned that life doesn’t always go as planned. And that’s perfectly okay.
Let me paint you a picture: sometimes, there are dishes piled up in the sink, I forget to brush my teeth, and yes, there have been days when my son proudly wears his clothes backward. For a while, these little imperfections would frustrate me. But then, I had a revelation: what if I just went with it? What if I stopped getting upset and started loving these messy, beautiful moments?
When I embraced this mindset, something magical happened. I found happiness—genuine, heartwarming happiness. I began smiling, laughing, and joking around like I did when I was a carefree teen. By letting go of the things I couldn’t control and focusing on the joy of being present with my kids, I rediscovered a sense of fulfillment.
In the chaos of motherhood, I found my calling as a life coach, helping women around the world become their best selves while I live my best life alongside them. I’m not perfect—far from it. My house is never ready for an unexpected guest, my marriage has its ups and downs, and there are moments I question why I try so hard. But on days like today, when the sun is shining, the air is crisp, and my kids are happy, I feel a profound sense of purpose. This little life, with all its highs and lows, is worth every second.
If you’re a mom feeling the weight of perfection, I invite you to join me on this journey to embrace the imperfection.
